Matthew was born on January 16th, 2001 in Minnesota. The youngest brother of five siblings, he grew up in Victoria with a big backyard, a swimming pool, and lots of pets, family, and friends around.
He graduated from Chanhassen High School and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He studied abroad at Bauhaus in Germany.
Once called a “perfect artist,” Matthew’s curiosity and openness brought beauty and wonder to everything he touched, every new environment he experienced, every novel idea that crossed his mind.
This website separately curates his visual art from the memories he created, but that is contrived. Matthew’s legacy is that art is a way of living.
Life was his real canvas, love his medium.
